On 22 October, Mercadona will open a new store in Amarante. In this way, the Spanish supermarket chain continues its expansion in Portuguese territory.

The new store has 1900 square meters of sales area, with various consumer areas such as food, butcher shop, fishmonger, cold cuts, bakery and confectionery, fruits and vegetables, perfumery, home and pet products, and a wine cellar.

The Amarante store will also have a Ready-to-Eat area, where customers can find ready-to-eat meals to eat on-site or take away.

The new store will boost the local economy by creating jobs through Mercadona's well-known model, which includes permanent contracts and paid training.
