The event takes place on 3 and 4 October, from 6pm to 11pm, with free entry and the Ria de Alvor providing the backdrop.

Portimão Council announced that Villa Alvor, Quinta da Penina and Arvad/UCA will once again participate, giving visitors the opportunity to discover wines produced in the municipality.

Food will also be part of the programme. Local restaurant Zé Morgadinho will prepare dishes representing the region’s cuisine to accompany the wine tastings, while musical entertainment is planned for both evenings.

Local production

The event is organised by Portimão Council, with support from Alvor Parish Council and the Portimão Tourism Association.

For the municipality, it is also a way to draw attention to local wine production and encourage visits beyond the beach season. The council identifies wine tourism as an area with potential to attract visitors throughout the year.

For residents and anyone visiting Alvor this weekend, the event brings several local producers together in one place, beside the water.
