Tavira’s Municipal Youth Strategy is now open for public consultation, with the consultation period running until November 9th.

According to the Tavira City Council, the aim of the public consultation is to “continue the participatory process of building this guiding instrument for municipal youth policies.”

The Municipal Youth Strategy aims to establish objectives, priorities, lines of action and proposed courses of action for the coming years, considering the needs, expectations and aspirations of young people from Tavira, Sul Informação reports.

Developing youth policies

The project was developed by the Municipality of Tavira in collaboration with the ECOS Cooperative – Cooperative for Education, Cooperation and Development.

During the process, young people from the municipality had the opportunity to share their perspectives, identify needs and challenges, present proposals, and contribute ideas for the development of local youth policies.

How to submit

The proposed Municipal Youth Strategy is available for consultation on this website, and contributions can also be submitted with requests addressed directly to the President of Tavira City Council, Ana Paula Fernandes Martins, at Praça da República, 8800-951 Tavira, or via email: camara@cm-tavira.pt.

After the consultation period ends, the contributions received will be analysed and considered before the strategy is submitted to the competent municipal bodies.
