For the third edition, Albufeira, Loulé, Lagoa and Silves are once again represented in the “Leaders of the Future” project, Postal reports.
The free project involves 30 young people aged 14 to 19, aiming to help participants develop personal and social skills while encouraging more active participation in the communities where they live, study or participate in civic activities.
Developing skills through experience
The initiative runs throughout the year and combines training sessions, individual mentoring, group activities and volunteer experiences to connect skills development with active citizenship through practical experience and exposure to different social contexts.
The third edition also included former project participants, helping to strengthen connections and networks among young people who have gone through the programme.
The participation of previous members aims to encourage the sharing of experiences and interaction between different editions of “Leaders of the Future,” helping maintain the connections established throughout the project, Postal reports.
The initiative is promoted by the Prime Skills Association in partnership with the Jack Petchey Foundation. More information is available on the Prime Skills Association’s website and social media channels.
