Spain’s government has approved a draft reform of its tobacco law that would ban smoking and vaping in many outdoor public spaces, such as restaurant terraces, beaches, pools, sports venues, bus stops, open-air events, and areas surrounding schools, hospitals and public buildings.
The proposal treats all nicotine products equally and seeks to protect non-smokers while reducing passive exposure.
