Founded by photographer Amit Pasricha, the initiative uses volunteers to capture images of lesser-known temples, havelis, stepwells and forts. The project’s digital archive aims to raise awareness, inform conservation, and engage youth in heritage appreciation.

ILF organises community events, heritage walks and photo exhibitions to bring historic sites to life for local residents. More than 500 volunteers have joined, contributing photos and stories to a growing archive and planned digital map. The volunteers help verify and research historic sites with experts before adding them to ILF’s archive.
