SATA Group stated that fog is affecting visibility, potentially causing delays and cancellations for SATA Air Açores and Azores Airlines between 22 and 24 May.

The airlines are monitoring the weather and adjusting operations as needed based on updated information.

Also, according to the notice, affected passengers will be contacted and rebooked “as soon as possible.” The airlines also indicated that passengers will be permitted to change reservations for travel scheduled between 22 and 29 May without incurring any penalties.

The airlines are “making every effort to minimise the disruptions caused to their passengers” and appeal for their understanding regarding a situation that stems from factors beyond their operational control.
