On Saturday 20th June, Algarve Arts Academy invites you to one of the latter.

This summer, we’re creating something truly special, bringing together the canvas, the ocean, and the harp. Three elements that, when placed in the same room, create something close to magic.

This is not your typical Sip & Paint. There’s no single image to copy, no identical results to take home. Instead, you’ll be gently guided into a creative space where you’re invited to paint what you feel.

The inspiration is the ocean, the Algarve coastline that so many of us live beside but rarely pause to absorb. Its colour, its rhythm, its moods. That will be your muse.

Júlia, our Founder of the academy and Master of Fine Arts, will open the evening with simple techniques and gentle guidance, ensuring even first-time painters feel completely at ease. The white canvas can be intimidating, but that’s exactly why we begin together. From there, the evening becomes entirely your own.

Live music at a Sip & Paint is not new. But live classical harp, performed by an artist of this calibre, transforms the experience entirely.

Luisa-Maria Cordell is an award-winning harpist who has performed across Europe’s most prestigious concert halls, for members of the Royal Family, Prime Ministers, and international dignitaries. Her artistry lies not only in her technical mastery but in her ability to listen to the room and let the room listen back.

On the evening of 20th June, she will perform throughout the session, her ocean-blue harp echoing the theme of the night. When music is truly live, something shifts. The brush moves differently. The colours deepen. The experience stops being about creating something and starts being about feeling something.
