The prestigious facilities of the Amendoeira Golf Resort are preparing to host the 15th edition of the World Kids Golf. This tourist and sports complex spans 270 hectares in the Alcantarilha area. The event is one of the most reputable youth tournaments in the European sporting landscape.

The event will bring together promising young players, divided into five distinct competitive levels: under-12, under-14, under-16, under-18, and under-21.

According to information provided by the organising committee, this year's participants will include delegations from Portugal, Italy, France, Spain, and Germany.

For the organisers, this convergence of locations gives the event dual value. It provides an excellent opportunity for players to test their skills in a context of high technical demands. At the same time, it fosters the exchange of intercultural experiences, mutual learning, and each participant's individual development.

The organisers view the World Kids Golf tournament not merely as a succession of competitive rounds but as a launchpad and a progression framework for emerging generations of golfers.

By progressing through circuits designed to high standards of infrastructural quality and international acclaim, golfers can assess their level of play. They gain maturity in high-level competition and gain essential experience for the eventual transition to the professional world.

Participants in the World Kids Golf tournament will thus have the perfect opportunity to test their skills, gain competitive experience, and create memories that could mark the beginning of future careers in the sport.

The tournament agenda for World Kids Golf extends beyond standard competition, incorporating a special "Parents & Children" event into the official programme.

This initiative, along with various social activities, gala dinners, and recreational group leisure activities planned for the end of the day, aims to strengthen family ties, sportsmanship, fair play, friendship, and camaraderie through healthy sports practice.

João Fernandes, general manager of Amendoeira Golf Resort, emphasised that organising this tournament represents a clear commitment to sustainability and the future of the sport.

He added that the presence of young people from such diverse backgrounds in southern Portugal reinforces sport's role as an essential pedagogical tool. It shapes citizens with greater self-confidence and resilience, making them better prepared to face future challenges.
