The red warning is the most severe and comes as Portugal enters a period of high temperatures, with highs reaching 44 degrees and lows between 24º and 28º.

On 2 July, some areas in the north of the country will be under a yellow warning (the least severe), but on 3 July, the entire country will be under at least an orange warning.
