Although Ronaldo keeps much of his family life private, Georgina has shared a handful of holiday photos over the years. Many of them were taken either in Comporta or in the Algarve.
Both are known for long stretches of sand, warmer summer days and the possibility of enjoying a quieter break away from the attention that follows one of the world’s most famous footballers.
Family time in Comporta
Portuguese newspaper Correio da Manhã reports that Comporta has become one of Cristiano Ronaldo's preferred holiday destinations.’
Cristiano Ronaldo and his family were linked to the area in 2020, when Georgina shared a photograph of the couple with their children during a stay in Portugal.
The image showed a more relaxed side of their family life, far removed from football stadiums and red-carpet appearances.
Comporta’s appeal is easy to understand. The area combines wide beaches and protected natural landscapes with discreet luxury hotels, restaurants and private villas. Despite its growing popularity, it has managed to hold on to a quieter atmosphere than many of Portugal’s better-known resorts.
For public figures, that balance between comfort and privacy has helped turn the Alentejo coast into a fashionable summer retreat.
The Algarve remains a family favourite
The Algarve has also appeared in the family’s holiday photographs.
In 2023, Georgina shared images from time spent in the Faro area, showing the children enjoying the sunshine and a relaxed day near the sea.
The photographs did not reveal many details about their exact location, something that is perhaps unsurprising given the family’s need for privacy. However, they once again showed Ronaldo choosing Portugal for part of his summer break.

The Algarve has long attracted footballers, actors and other well-known visitors. Its combination of warm weather, beaches, luxury resorts and private accommodation makes it relatively easy to enjoy a comfortable holiday without remaining in the centre of a busy city.
Around Faro, visitors are also within easy reach of some of the region’s most distinctive coastal areas, from the islands of the Ria Formosa to the beaches around Quinta do Lago and Vale do Lobo.
His connection to Portugal goes beyond holidays
Cristiano Ronaldo's connection to Portugal is about much more than returning home for family holidays. Over the years, he has invested in a range of businesses across the country, with interests spanning tourism, fitness, healthcare, sport and property.
One of his best-known projects is the Pestana CR7 hotel brand, created in partnership with the Pestana Hotel Group. In Portugal, the hotels can be found in Funchal and Lisbon, two cities that have shaped Ronaldo's life and career.
More recently, Ronaldo has turned his attention to padel. He acquired the Lisboa Racket Centre in Lisbon's Alvalade district, which offers padel, tennis and squash courts. He is also one of the investors behind Cidade do Padel in Oeiras, a major new complex that is expected to feature 17 courts and facilities capable of hosting international tournaments.
His business interests in Portugal also include the CR7 Fitness gym chain, the Insparya hair transplant group, real estate investments and a 10% stake in the Portuguese porcelain manufacturer Vista Alegre Atlantis.

The picture from Algarve seems to be from Meia Praia in Lagos or Alvor beach. It is Foia mountain in the background.
