The Portuguese football star and his long-term partner tied the knot in a private civil ceremony in Cascais on Tuesday, 11 August. Reuters reported that Ronaldo's management team confirmed the marriage.

The couple also shared the news on social media, posting a photograph showing their wedding rings.
The wedding comes exactly one year after Georgina announced their engagement. On 11 August 2025, she shared a photograph of her engagement ring on Instagram, confirming that Ronaldo had proposed.

Ronaldo and Georgina first met in Madrid in 2016, when she was working at a Gucci store. Their relationship became public the following year, and they have since built a family together.

They have two daughters together, Alana Martina, born in 2017, and Bella Esmeralda, born in 2022. Ronaldo is also the father of Cristiano Jr. and twins Eva and Mateo.

The couple experienced the loss of their baby son in April 2022, when Georgina was expecting twins. Their daughter Bella survived.

Their wedding had been the subject of considerable speculation in Portugal in recent weeks. Just days before the actual ceremony, hundreds of people gathered outside Funchal Cathedral in Madeira after rumours spread that Ronaldo and Georgina were getting married there. The wedding taking place at the cathedral was in fact that of another Portuguese couple.

The couple eventually chose Cascais for their own ceremony, which took place privately on Tuesday.
Ronaldo, 41, currently plays for Saudi Arabian club Al-Nassr, where he has been since leaving Manchester United at the end of 2022. He has won the Ballon d'Or five times during his career and has played for clubs including Sporting CP, Manchester United, Real Madrid and Juventus.
