This measure covers signatures made with the Citizen Card, Digital Mobile Key, and Professional Attributes Certification System (SCAP), aiming to simplify and accelerate administrative procedures during a period marked by complaints of operational delays.
The agency recommends that applicants opt for digital submission of documentation whenever possible, while emphasising the importance of accuracy in submitting documents to avoid compromising the progress of the processes, especially at a time when some citizens have been waiting for more than 4 years for regularisation.
Meanwhile, AIMA reiterated that the renewal of expired Residence Permits for Investment (Golden Visas) now requires the mandatory association of the Tax Identification Number (NIF) with the applicant's registration; without this, the process cannot proceed.
This clarification comes in a context where frequent difficulties have been reported in entering crucial information, such as the NIF and the Social Security Number (NISS), as well as accidental exchanges of personal data.
To resolve technical issues or request an in-person appointment, the agency has designated the Contact Form on its official portal as the preferred method of communication, aiming to mitigate difficulties accessing the Renewal Portal.
