The yellow warning is in effect until 6 pm in Bragança, Viseu, Guarda, Vila Real, Viana do Castelo, Castelo Branco, and Braga due to snowfall above 1,000 meters, with accumulations of up to 20 centimetres at the highest points of the Serra da Estrela Mountain range.

The statement warns of potential disruptions from snow accumulation and ice formation, including closed or restricted roads, damage to structures or trees, and disruptions to local supplies.

On the other hand, due to strong swells, the coastlines of the districts of Porto, Faro, Setúbal, Viana do Castelo, Lisbon, Leiria, Beja, Aveiro, Coimbra and Braga are under a yellow warning, with northwest waves expected to reach 4 to 5 meters in height.

The yellow warning for sea conditions will remain in effect until the early hours of Sunday.

However, in the districts of Porto, Viana do Castelo, Lisbon, Leiria, Aveiro, Coimbra, and Braga, the alert will be raised to the orange level from 9 pm today until noon on Saturday, with forecasts of northwest waves reaching 10 meters in height.
