The 11th edition of the Lagos Food Fest, taking place from 2 to 5 July at Jardim da Constituição, will once again offer free admission, with around 30 food trucks and culinary concepts serving dishes from Portugal and around the world.
Inspired flavours
Visitors can expect an extensive menu ranging from traditional Portuguese favourites to flavours inspired by Italy, Mexico, Peru, Brazil, Asia and the Mediterranean. Among the Portuguese specialities on offer are bifanas, pregos, regional petiscos, cured meats, fish soup, Monchique ham, Alzejur sweet potatoes, freshly shucked oysters and a variety of cod dishes.
It doesn’t end there: international options include freshly prepared Italian pasta, cone-shaped pizzas, tacos, burritos, bao buns, smash burgers, hot dogs, wraps, pitas, Peruvian ceviche, fried halloumi, handmade dumplings, and vegetarian dishes.
Festivalgoers will also find pancakes, açaí bowls, bubble tea, tropical cocktails, mojitos, caipirinhas, crêpes, Aveiro’s traditional sweet “tripas”, freshly grilled Berlin doughnuts, ice cream and a wide selection of desserts.
One of the highlights making its debut this year is Wonder Braz, described by organisers as Portugal’s first food truck devoted entirely to bacalhau à Brás, the country’s classic cod, potato and egg dish, as well as other options such as duck and crab specialities.
Entertainment attractions
In addition to the food, this event will feature live bands, DJ performances, guest chefs and dedicated relaxation areas, while younger visitors can enjoy inflatable attractions and trampolines.
The entertainment programme begins on 2 July with DJ Ventura and DJ TobyONE, followed by The Protons, who will perform before Emanuel & Tânia, which will take to the stage the next evening. On 4 July, attendees can enjoy live performances from Marsha Jam, followed by DJ Juju. On the closing day, DJ collective “Por Aí” will be featured alongside DJ Manawee.
Held annually during the summer, the Lagos Food Fest has become one of the Algarve's most popular seasonal events, combining international cuisine with live music in a relaxed open-air setting.
