On 5 February 2025, a box of six eggs cost the consumer €1.62, below the €2.12 recorded on 18 February, thus showing an increase of €0.50 in just over a year.
From January of last year until the beginning of March, the price of eggs remained relatively stable, between €1.61 and €1.62.
However, on 12 March of the same year, it reached €1.70 and began its upward trajectory, rising to €2.05 on the 16th of this month and to €2.07 a week later.
Between 18 June and 15 October, it fluctuated between €2 and €2.07.
On 22 October, it reached a peak of €2.12, a level it maintained until 18 February 2026, except on 17 December (€2.10).
Thus, from the beginning of the current year to 18 February, the price of a half-dozen eggs has not changed.
