Crafted by Ángel Díaz Herrero’s dairy, the stinky cheese is made from cow’s milk and aged for nine months in the Los Mazos cave at an altitude of 1,500 metres.

The winning bid, placed by Ivan Suarez of El Llagar de Colloto, surpassed last year’s record by €1,000 and marks the sixth consecutive year the establishment got top cheese at the annual event.
