According to the municipality, the event, titled “Avis tem sabor” (“Avis Has Flavour”), will run from 7 November to 15. Its goal is to “boost gastronomic tourism and highlight local products,” as well as the wines produced within the municipality.

Tomato soup with fried cured sausages, dogfish soup, migas (a traditional bread-based dish) with cilantro served alongside a mixed grill, açorda alentejana (a classic Alentejo bread soup), and galo de cabidela (rooster stewed in its own blood) are among the dishes that can be enjoyed at the participating restaurants.
