Orioli Coffee & Lab. has earned its place among Europe's best coffee shops. The Lisbon café ranked 26th in Europe’s 100 Best Coffee Shops 2026 and was also voted the best coffee shop in Portugal in the TOP 10 The Best Coffee Shops Portugal 2026.
Behind Orioli is coffee professional Felipe Orioli, whose passion for speciality coffee started in Brazil in 2007, when he began working with coffee production. Today, that experience is brought to Lisbon, where Felipe and his team also run SCA courses and Orioli workshops for those who want to learn more about coffee.
What makes Orioli particularly interesting is how closely connected it is to the whole coffee-making process. The beans are roasted and blended directly at the coffee shop, while some of the coffee comes from Orioli's own farm in Brazil, located at an altitude of 1,100 metres.
The farm produces several Arabica varieties, including Catuaí Vermelho, Catuaí Amarelo and Gesha, with harvesting generally taking place between June and August or September.

The café itself is spacious and relaxed. There are two cute tables outside overlooking the street, but we chose the armchairs tucked away at the back. They are slightly hidden from the rest of the café and give you a bit more privacy, making them a great spot for coffee with a friend or your partner.
And, of course, we had to try the coffee. The cappuccino was great, and we accompanied it with a cheese ball and a ham and cheese croissant – it was a very enjoyable stop at one of Europe's highest-ranked coffee shops.
